How do we ensure that the development of Science and Technology research and education is given the strength of support to continue and grow?

Science and Technology Empty National Science Academy

One of more interesting proposals in the All Wales Accord was to establish a National Science Academy and an Institute of Design. The creation of these kinds of institutes with the help of strong independent academic leadership in each sector would give Science and Technology research and development a much higher representation in Welsh politics. What we have to accept is that Wales will not have the strong economy we all desire unless we pursue high-tech sectors through research lead by universities and backed up by government funding.
